The scary bear!

Audrey had RSV recently and she ended up needing to do breathing treatments 3x a day for a while. The nebulizer the pharmacy gave us looks like a teddy bear. The very first treatment she had she screamed the entire way through. (It takes 10-15 minutes per treatment) I can understand though....its new and scary. She knew that the scary bear was making the terrible noise and she would glare at him and scream. After her breathing treatment was over she would look for the bear to see if he was still in our house and once she found him, she would cry and crawl away as fast as she could! Well, after a few days she got used to the breathing treatments and didn't mind them at all. I normally don't let her watch TV but I let her watch cartoons on Noggin to calm her down during the treatments. By the time we stopped doing breathing treatments she LOVED the bear and wanted to hold him all the time. It was cute.

Here's a picture of the "scary bear" nebulizer.

This is Audrey getting a breathing treatment. Her face looks a little scared but at this point she didn't mind them which is good for Mommy!
