My OB appt. today

Everything looks wonderful! The Dr. did a fetal fibronectin test which came back negative which is great. That means the babies are very unlikely to want to come out in the next 2-3 weeks. I also had an ultrasound done to check my cervical length and everything looks great there, too! He also checked me and everything is closed up tight! After all the tests were performed he came back and said that I'm locked up like Fort Knox and those babies aren't going anywhere soon! What a relief! I've been having TONS of braxton hicks contractions and there were two times recently I was scared that they wanted to come out. I had contractions 5 minutes apart for over an hour each time but then right around the hour mark they just stopped. This happened with Audrey as well way before she ever decided to make her appearance so hopefully they'll hang out in there a while longer, too.

I am in pain every single day and new stretch marks are starting to appear but its okay. I just remind myself that I want these babies to get big and healthy no matter what they do to my body. The less time they have to be in the hospital after birth, the better!

Naming the boys

Isn't it supposed to be fun to name your children? When I was pregnant with Audrey we had a hard time coming up with a name for her as well. We had a list of names that I took to the hospital with me when I went into labor. We didn't decide on her name until she was actually born.

This time around it seems even harder. We realize that the boys could come at any time now and its really putting pressure on us to figure out what their names will be. With a last name like ours we can't just name them whatever we like. If we had it our way their names would be Jack and Maxim but both are just cruel and cry out to be made fun of.

Tonight we finally came up with names that we both agree on and sound good. They aren't written in stone, but we're pleased with them and might use them. It's just frustrating... I thought this part was supposed to be fun! They're very standard names and maybe even boring. :( I guess its just a let down when you have to settle on a name. Also, names that don't sound ridiculus with our last name, Granseur and I just don't agree on them due to personal preference.

25 week and 27 week belly pics

I'm not doing so well keeping up with these either, but here are my latest belly pictures! :)

Twins - 25 weeks, 1 day Audrey - 25 weeks, 1 day

I love how in the 25 week belly pic with Audrey you clearly see that the wall color has changed from blue to pink. We were preparing her nursery then. :)

Twins - 27 weeks, 2 days Audrey - 27 weeks

Audrey's birthday!

Okay, so I know its been a while and this is very late but Audrey's 1st birthday was March 15th! She had her party on March 14th. Her daddy made her two cute cakes! Yep.... he did it all by himself. He's good at everything.

Present time!

Testing out one of the presents... the swing!

Eating cake with mommy.

I think she had fun that day! :)
Not only was that Audrey's first birthday but it was also the day I became a mother! This first year has been challenging but so much fun. I'm so lucky that she is my daughter and I love her so much! Thanks for making me a mommy, Audrey! I was afraid I would never get to be one.

Hi and Bye

Last weekend we were at my parents' house. We had Audrey sleeping in the pack n play in the room with us. She got up too early one morning so we laid her in bed with us hoping she'd go back to sleep. She didn't; she just played and rolled around. At one point she stood straight up on the bed, looked at me and very cleary said "Hi" and waved at me. It was so cute. Granseur and I just started laughing. That was her first "hi." :)

A couple of days later Granseur was leaving for work. Audrey understands that this happens every morning and will wave goodbye to him as he walks out the door. Well, she waved and clearly said "bye." We were impressed. I wonder what else she can understand but can't really say yet.

Update on the boys

Today I had an ultrasound along with my regular OB appt. Twin A (the one on my right side - aka the "active" one) is 2 pounds, 1 ounce. Twin B (the one on my left side - aka the "calm" one) is 2 pounds, 4 ounces. Everything looks great. Twin B is no longer breach. They are both head down and will hopefully stay that way. Oh, and apparently Twin A likes to play with his "manhood." That's what the tech said anyway. I thought it was funny.
